Sheffield City Airport is a small airport located in Sheffield, which opened in 1997. It is sited in the district of Tinsley near the M1 and Sheffield Parkway.
The airport had its CAA license withdrawn on 21 April 2008 and will close on 30 April 2008, as Sheffield City Council has approved plans to turn the airport into a business park.
Sheffield City Aerodrome has a CAA Ordinary License that allows flights for the public transport of passengers or for flying instruction as authorised by the licensee .
