Oban Airport is sited at the village of North Connel in Argyll and Bute, Scotland.
In 2006, the airport's operators, Argyll and Bute Council established plans to operate commercial flights between Oban and 3 remote island communities, Coll, Colonsay and Tiree. The council has therefore begun to upgrade the airport to handle flights, with a terminal building under construction.
The council's plan is to have flights from Glasgow International Airport and Edinburgh Airport operate to Oban, and then to the three islands.
